The nurse, Stacey, fell for the soon-to-be doctor, David. After graduating from the nursing program, Stacey met David at a local bar downtown. He had just completed his first year of medical school at the University of Florida. As the relationship grew, the friendship turned to love for these medical professionals.
The two are huge Disney fans and share a love for the Magic Kingdom. They had made reservations at Cinderella’s Castle for dinner 4 months prior to their trip. Stacey had no idea that this special trip to the magical world of Disney would end with a fireworks and a ring on her finger. At the end of the dinner, a silver platter was brought over with a glass slipper and rose petals. David got down on one knee in front of all the guests at Cinderella’s Castle and asked Stacey to be his forever princess.
Most Memorable Moment
Stacey’s most memorable moment of the magical wedding day was their first dance. “It was when we were actually able to be by ourselves for the first time and take in the fact that we were husband and wife. I remember feeling so blessed to have had our family and friends gather with us and to have just married my best friend. ”
David’s more memorable moment was the private carriage ride around St. Augustine after the wedding. He loved being able to talk to his new bride about their beautiful wedding day.
Favorite Details of Dress
“My cap sleeves! I loved the dainty lace details of the top and the buttons down the back. The fact that my dress was convertible was extra special, too! I was able to have that princess feel for the ceremony because of the full skirt and then have more comfort and mobility for the reception.”
Stacey looked stunning in her Lillian West gown, complete with a removable tulle skirt and an illusion neckline.
Favorite Thing About Allure Bridal Boutique
“I was super hesitant in dress shopping because I was unsure what I was looking for in my “bridal moment.”
The stylists at Allure felt like family to Stacey as they assisted her in finding her dream dress.
“I could tell that they were more than just saleswomen–they honestly wanted me to feel pretty and comfortable. I cannot thank them enough for making what I thought would be a difficult day so much more!”
Stacey and David delayed their honeymoon due to work schedules but eventually found themselves in Hawaii. They spent time exploring Oahu and Maui via ATVs and learning how to hula!
“Hawaii is a perfect location for any honeymooning couples! So many opportunities for those seeking either tranquility or adventure!”
Congrats to Stacey and David! Your wedding was just as magical as your love story.
